Here is a list of repairs done in the last two years while stored in the garage with no miles on them. The body of the car has rust and rot through all the panels and the sheet metal has been cut out of the bed for a repair panel. This car is in perfect running and driving mechanical condition with many many new parts. Car will not be shipped until the funds are in the current owners hands. The new owner will pay all shipping costs. The current owner will assist in getting the car to the nearest shipping place. There is a hoist on the property to inspect the car and prospective buyers can have someone look at the car at buyers expense. Serious buyers can email me and I will email you back his Phone Number. The owner has the car in Lincoln CA and will answer any questions you have. I do not have the Vin Number at this time but will get it later. The origional owners manual and dealer sheet are with the car as well as many receipts for other work The car has just been detailed and tuned and has been appraised by Chevy Land of Rancho Cordova at $15,000.00. The car has not been used much since that time and has been kept in a closed garage. The car was painted and new upholstery in 1998. The engine and transmission were overhauled in 1986 and has about 60,000 since then. ![]() This car was bought new by the current owner. and is pretty much the same prep and process as you would go through to paint a car.I am listing this car for a friend. The process sounds like a handful, but people use fiberglass everyday to fix bodywork on cars, boats, toys, whatever. clean up is easyest with acetone.very flamible, and the whole process is pretty much environmentally hazardous. ![]() Safety equipment REQUIRED for working fiberglass is chemical resistant arm length gloves, a resperator and a face mask. you must make sure you have the proper tools, putty knives, rollers, and razor knives for starters, and you must work quickly, as the catylist will start to "kick off" the resin in a matter of minutes. basically, you take the fiberglass media and soak it in a mixture of polymer resin, catylist and lay it out either freehand and try to shape it to the form you want, or you make a mold and lay out the 'glass on the mold. As for fiberglass, if you have mixed paint, epoxy, or bondo, you get the idea behind fiberglass.
